This week, sixth grade STEM students participated in the third annual parachute drop at Indian Hill Middle School with support from the Indian Hill Fire Department and parents. Teams of Middle School students designed a parachute and conducted a parachute drop as part of their study of air resistance, friction, drag, freefall, velocity, terminal velocity, constant velocity, force of gravity, acceleration, surface area, and Newton’s Laws of Motion. Note: once again this year, most of the eggs survived the journey.
