This month, the National Merit Scholarship Program announced the Indian Hill High School Class of 2017 Semifinalists and Commended students. Of the 174 students in this year’s IHHS senior class, 21 (12%) have been named in the program – nine have been named Semifinalists and 12 Commended Students.
These students are of an elite group – only 3% (50,000 students out of over 1.5 million ) who take the test each year qualify to be recognized. The top 1% (16,000 across the country) are named Semifinalists. These students have the chance to be named Finalists in the spring.
“Indian Hill High School has a tradition of educational excellence,” says Mrs. Karen Bare, IHHS Interim Principal. “We are very proud of the hard work and dedication of these students.”
Congratulations to these talented Indian Hill High School students!
