This is the image for the news article titled IHHS Choirs and Orchestras Tour New York CityNinety-eight Indian Hill High School students from the high school choirs and orchestra traveled to New York City on a performance and sight-seeing tour this spring. Along with music teachers Mr. Clark, Mr. Clary and Mrs. Emmons, several parents including Dr. Miles, attended the trip and shared in many wonderful experiences for our musicians. Students attended Broadway workshops with dance captains and music directors from the performances seen during the trip, including "Hello, Dolly" "Spongebob Squarepants" and "Mean Girls." One- on-one time with performers after their "Hello, Dolly" show and performance clinics with some of New York's top conductors were just small parts of a whirlwind trip which included sightseeing at many revered spots including Radio City Music Hall, the 9/11 museum, and Rockefeller Center. Our students performed at the Madison Avenue Atrium and at the Cathedral of St. John and had time to explore midtown Manhattan, Central Park, and Chinatown. A big thank you to all that made this trip possible!
