Current Fox19 meteorologist and former news reporter Jeff Creighton, an Indian Hill graduate, enjoys sharing his experience with current Braves students. Twice a year, he returns to speak with Denny Dupps’ video classes to provide students a look at the broadcasting field and what life is like in a typical news station.

In April, Mr. Creighton spoke with Indian Hill High School Braves Beat production students, answering questions dealing with creating a quality news program and how to provide entertainment value. His suggestions will be incorporated as students continue to develop and evolve the weekly video program.

Video technology classes are currently producing a personal weather report on the chromakey wall, and Mr. Creighton gave a demonstration on the green set. Students were very impressed with how easily this expert was able to use the set to produce a professional-looking weather report. It certainly provided perspective on how difficult the job is, offering a unique look into this profession and the skill sets needed to succeed.
