Lori Klinedinst

It is embedded within our vision: Enduring Excellence in Learning, Leadership, Innovation, and Service. It is our No. 1 value: Commitment to Excellence; and, it is the heart of our strategic plan and focus: Transformational Excellence. At the Indian Hill Exempted Village School District, excellence matters. Now, in a special Excellence Matters series, it is time for you to meet some of the Braves who support our vision of excellence.

This month, we meet a Brave who refers to herself as the “biggest cheerleader” for the Indian Hill School District … and I would certainly agree – Indian Hill Foundation Executive Director Lori Klinedinst is Brave inside and out. Below you will see how she defines her #IHPromise.

Thank you, Lori, for all you do to create excellence for our students, parents, community, and staff.

In service to our children,

Mark T. Miles, Ph.D.
Superintendent

Meet Lori Klinedinst
Executive Director, Indian Hill Foundation

We moved to the District for the schools 15 years ago, and I joined the Foundation team in 2008.  My husband Tom and I are the proud parents of two Indian Hill High School alumni, Constance (Class of 2014), and Tommy (Class of 2018).

Braves are inspired to be the best versions of themselves. We explore new thinking, have the resources to discover aptitudes, and have opportunities for leadership and growth. Those principles are true for students, faculty, parents, and alumni. The size of our District encourages engagement in many arenas for well-rounded, life-long learning.

My #IHPromise: Bold philanthropy for brave possibilities. What if, what’s possible, what’s next?  We have an amazing school community because people ask these questions of themselves and the school.  We want to fuel the promise of a future not yet imagined.

The Indian Hill Foundation puts our community’s philanthropy to work innovating, accelerating, and enriching what is happening in our classrooms and strengthening the connections between the District and community. The Foundation goes beyond what the schools’ tax-supported budget alone can do and takes a longer term perspective on funding key initiatives. Foundation-funded programs and initiatives help maintain the extraordinary educational opportunities and excellence of the Indian Hill Exempted Village School District. Dollars contributed to the Foundation are put to work innovating, accelerating, and enriching what is happening in all classrooms district-wide. Gifts to the Foundation also fund programs and initiatives that strengthen connections between the District and our community.

2017-2018 annual giving, revenue from the Braves Forever Fund, and donor restricted gifts resulted in a variety of grants and programs for grades K-12. The Indian Hill Elementary School iLab development, eight career programs, six scholarships for graduating seniors, STEM equipment, alumni connections and resources for faculty learning were part of the 4,600 hours and $62,320 in grants leveraged for Braves learning.

Stay tuned for next month – we meet Indian Hill PTO President Niki Singh.
