Leadership Summit on the The Hill

The Indian Hill School District welcomed the 15th Sergeant Major of the Army, Daniel Dailey, to lead the second event in a new Leadership Summit on The Hill series on Friday, May 3. Indian Hill Middle School and Indian Hill High School students joined community members who packed the Sue Harder Memorial Performing Arts Center for the free event.

“What an experience for all our Braves! Sgt. Maj. Dailey is a decorated military veteran, and it was our privilege to host him in this amazing new speaking series,” said Indian Hill School District CEO/Superintendent Kirk Koennecke.

This is the second event in the Leadership Summit on The Hill series; Stephen M. R. Covey, New York Times and #1 Wall Street Journal best-selling author, kicked off the series in October. Sgt. Maj. of the Army Daniel A. Dailey, U.S. Army retired, has served with the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Infantry Divisions stateside and overseas. Dailey was sworn in as the 15th sergeant major of the Army on Jan. 30, 2015. In January of 2020, Dailey joined the executive team at the Association of the U.S. Army, where he serves as vice president of Noncommissioned Officer and Soldier Programs.

“These leaders provide our students a lesson in leadership that is elite, impactful, and lasting,” said Koennecke. “We appreciate the gift of time each of our presenters offered during this school year, and we look forward to the fall when we continue this outstanding program.”
